From creekside yoga to drum sessions, writing workshops to educational walks, there is always something happening at San Pedro Creek. Check out our regularly scheduled programs below and be sure to visit our Events Calendar to see what’s happening this week at the creek!
Community Drum Circle
Research shows that drumming, particularly in a group setting, is good for the mind AND the body. It is said that community drum circles can produce feelings of well-being, boost the immune system, lower blood pressure, and reduce stress. Join us for one of our quarterly in-person workshops with David and Cameron Montalvo who will teach the art of the djembe drum and guide participants through healing rhythms. Creekside Chats
Creekside Chats are candid interviews with artists, educators, engineers, designers, and historians who have had a hand in creating San Pedro Creek Culture Park. Learn about the vegetation along the creek, the choice of tile, construction surprises and more at this quarterly event. Click here to watch previously recorded sessions.
Get Creative
Get Creative at San Pedro Creek Culture Park features the many creative makers and cultural producers that make up the San Antonio arts community. It is meant to inspire people to explore their inner creativity and provide a platform for local talent to reach broader audiences. From painting and sculpting to writing and dance, this quarterly event will feature art in its variety of forms. Each session will provide both demonstration and instruction.
