Get Creative at San Pedro Creek

Our virtual series, GET CREATIVE at #SanPedroCreek is back and ready to help you flex those creative muscles. This series will feature the many creative makers and cultural producers that make up the local arts community. It is meant to inspire people to explore their inner creativity and provide a platform for local talent to reach broader audiences. Many different art forms will be featured, from visual art and music to writing and dance. Each episode will provide both demonstration and instruction.

For our first session of the new year, we will be joined by Andrea “Vocab” Sanderson, a San Antonio native and current City of San Antonio Poet Laureate. She also serves as a Teaching Artist for Gemini Ink and is an artist in residence with The Carver Community Cultural Center. Sanderson’s debut book is entitled, She Lives In Music, (Flower Song Press, February 2020), and her music is available on all music streaming platforms. Some of her awards include: Dream Voice 2018, People’s Choice Award 2019, Best Live Entertainment/Band Musician of the Year by the 17th Annual SEA Awards, and The Arts and Letters Award by Friends of San Antonio Public Library.
