THANK YOU FOR JOINING US!
October 14-15, 2022
The San Antonio River Authority and Bexar County are thrilled to celebrate the completion of Phase 1 of San Pedro Creek Culture Park. This one-of-a-kind urban greenspace located on the western edge of downtown San Antonio combines purpose with beauty while weaving public art and architectural design into historic preservation, flood control, water quality and ecosystem restoration.
We are kicking off the weekend of celebrations with a lighting ceremony on Friday, October 14 at 6:00p.m. The public is invited to join us for this FREE event! Celebrations that night will include a live performance from Urban 15, and the activation of STREAM by the Brooklyn-based artist Adam Frank. This new art installation piece converts sound into a visual light display along a 250-foot water wall.
This weekend celebration of the completion of Phase 1 of San Pedro Creek Culture Park continues Saturday, October 15th all day along the Culture Park with guided historical tours, live music, artist panels, book talks, community booths, live performances, food vendors, plus other activities for all ages. Come out to see this new linear park, located in the heart of downtown San Antonio, which serves as a flood control project and a place of enjoyment of the community.
