DESCRIPTION:\nAs the park with a purpose, SPC’s beautiful native landscaping serves as the perfect backdrop for this free eco-friendly community festival.\nCreekFest makes sustainability fun, accessible and engaging in an effort to build awareness and interest in environmental responsibility and sustainable practices including low-impact development, renewable energy, preventing pollution and reducing waste.\nLearn how to reduce your carbon footprint and what you can do to help the San Antonio River Authority in its mission of protecting our natural waterways through a variety of crafts, activities and demonstrations for the whole family. Enjoy a variety of local vendors – including many local sustainability-focused organizations and initiatives – as well as a variety of delicious food trucks, live music and local artisans.\nHosted by\nCreekfest Parking\nFree parking is available in two locations for CreekFest attendees – at the Christopher Columbus Italian Society lot (201 Piazza Italia) or in the W. Salinas St. lot (231 W. Salinas St.).\nExhibitors and Vendors\nSAN ANTONIO RIVER AUTHORITY\nRiver Authority staff will provide demonstrations and activities about Low Impact Design strategies, watershed management tools, and DIY beehives for your backyard. Participants can bring their creations home with them.\nEDWARDS AQUIFER AUTHORITY\nThe Edwards Aquifer Authority is a regional water management agency that regulates the use of the aquifer through integrity, transparency, and respect for the resource and the people that use it. Learn about how you can help the EAA achieve its mission to manage, enhance and protect the Edwards Aquifer.\nLAUREL BODINUS\nLearn how to make artwork out of recycled materials with local artist Laurel Bodinus. Participants will be able to take their creations home.\nLMG PHOTOGRAPHY\nLocal photographer, Luis Garza, will bring his pop up photo booth to CreekFest where visitors can pose for free photographs with the beautiful San Pedro Creek Culture Park as the backdrop.\nMOMO & POMPA\nLocal artists, Momo & Pompa, will debut a new, large-scale artwork made entirely out of recycled  materials.  The sculpture, titled San Antonio Rob-Car, will transform from a car to a robot and back! Visitors can join Momo and Pompa in an art activity that you can take home with you.\nREWORKSSA\nReWorksSA is deeply committed to being San Antonio Business’ trusted resource for connecting businesses to cost effective solutions and to the customers who value social responsibility.\nSAN ANTONIO BOTANICAL GARDENS\nThe San Antonio Botanical Garden’s mission is to inspire people to connect with the plant world and understand the importance of plants in our lives. At the event, they will lead activities for visitors to create and take home with them.\nTEXAS MASTER NATURALIST – ALAMO AREA CHAPTER\nThe mission of the Alamo Area Chapter is to develop a corps of well-informed volunteers who provide education, outreach, and service dedicated to the beneficial management of natural resources and natural areas within our community for the state of Texas.\nTIM KINSEY, LEARN NATURE\nLocal naturalist and educator, Tim Kinsey, will engage visitors with his live animal ecology programs and activities.\nUTSA, OFFICE OF SUSTAINABILITY\nThe UTSA Office of Sustainability is taking a leadership role in addressing our region’s sustainability challenges is an important priority for UTSA.\n
